About Us

On April 1st, 1981 after 10 years of working for his mentor, George H. Volk, Jr. founded The George Volk Agency. Having spent his time selling life insurance products, real estate, and property and casualty insurance, George decided to focus his efforts going forward, selling primarily property & casualty insurance.

Over the next 17 years George grew the agency through hard work, long hours, and acquisitions of few local insurance agencies. In 1998 George's son Christopher joined the agency as a commercial lines producer. Chris currently heads the agency's commercial lines department.

As a local independent insurance agency, The George Volk Agency represents a premier line of financially stable, local, regional, and national insurance companies. These partnerships allow the agency to provide insurance coverage to a wide variety of both personal and commercial clients.

George & Chris enjoy working with their clients on an individual basis to assess their specific insurance needs, offer alternatives when available, provide cost cutting opportunities, and outstanding customer service.
